Board Chairman Reports on Meeting in Pennsylvania

Mrs. Annie Saye, Pennsylvania Chairlady
Mr.  Charles Coleman, General Secretary/Incoming Board Member
Mr. Romeo Dahn, Board member
Mr. Noah Bordolo, Board Member
Mr. Dahn Dennis, Candidate, local Chairman, Pennsylvania Chapter
Mr. Philip Diakpo, Candidate, local Chairman, Pennsylvania Chapter

The Assembly Meeting was held on September 3rd, 2005 and it was very successful. The meeting was professionally conducted and the discussion was fruitful. The minute of the meeting will be mailed out sometime next week. I personally want to extend many thanks and appreciation to the Pennsylvania Chapter, especially to Mrs. Annie Saye, Pennsylvania chapter chairlady and the incoming assembly member, Mr. Charles Coleman for their hard work. This conference could not have been possible without their dedication and commitment to professionalism, peace, and stability of UNICCO..

I wish to inform you that a complaint was filed with the board by the Philip Diakpo's camp regarding constitutional and election schedule disagreement over their local elections.
This disagreement almost derailed the good working relationship between the leaders of this great chapter. Mr. Dahn Dennis was one of the two candidates contesting for the local chairmanship. The matter was resolved by the board after long hours of discussions involving all parties.  The result of the prior elections held while the complaint was before the board was nullified and a new date for new elections will be set next Monday or Tuesday.

These two young potential leaders of UNICCO, Nimba County or Liberia demonstrated their leadership ability by putting the interest of UNICCO above their personal interest. I want to also give credit to Mrs. Annie Saye, Pennsylvania Chairlady, Mr. Romeo Dahn and Mr. Noah Bordolo, members of the board from Philadelphia for their relentless efforts in bringing this matter to a close. Finally, I  wish to say many thanks to the UNICCO National leadership and the members of the board that who spent countless hours in making sure that the Pennsylvania chapter remains unified and strong.

The assembly wishes to ask all parties involved to work with the local chairlady and the two assembly members in making sure that free and fair election is held. The Pennsylvania election will be supervised by four members of the board including the two local board members. As indicated in Philadelphia, the election will be held in about three to four weeks from the time the decision was made if everything goes well. Please feel free to email or call me or any question or clarification regarding the scheduled elections.

Respectfully Yours,

Frederick B. Norkeh
