UNICCO's National Calls for Help in the Death
of its Chaplain

My fellow Nimba citizens, we are bereaved again. Death has extended
it stinging, unwelcome hands in our very house and it has taken away
one of the best of God’s creation. The sudden death of UNICCO National
Chaplain and Vice President for Nimba Elderly Women Association of
Minnesota, Mrs. Annie Zeah, has left the Tappeta District Development
Association, UNICCO Minnesota Chapter, UNICCO National leadership
and the entire Nimba community in total shock. This death hit UNICCO
hard, but together we can give mother Zeah a descent “goodbye’.
The family of mother Annie Zeah is truly a UNICCO family. Mrs. Annie
Zeah joined UNICCO the moment she arrived in Minnesota. She was elected
as UNICCO National Chaplain in May 2004. Her sister, Mrs. Martha Gaye,
has been with UNICCO for over 20 years. Martha is one of the two current
board members for UNICCO Rhode Island Chapter. Her sister, Mrs. Elizabeth
Gleekiah is a strong supporter of UNICCO. Her cousin Shedrick Gayetay
was president for UNIICO Rhode Island Chapter for 10 years. Another
cousin, Mr. Hendrix Grupee, is the current Vice Chairman for UNICCO
Minnesota Chapter.
Ladies and gentlemen, it has always been the wish of the departing
mother to return to Liberia. She is counting on us to make her wish
a reality. Funeral arrangements are underway. We are therefore appealing
to all UNICCO chapters, excluding UNICCO Minnesota Chapter, to make
a contribution of $1000.00 per chapter. Chapter leaders please treat
this request as an extreme emergency and channel all chapter contributions
to UNICCO National Treasurer, Mr. Yini Guva A. Sahn.
We are also appealing to UNICCO member to help their leaders raise
the requested amount.
I hope each of you will view this as a moral obligation to spread
the message to chapter leaders and UNICCO members within your reach.
Thank you and God bless.
Miamen Z.Z. Wopea
National President
